This article is about the most popular Esport games of all time. Electronic sports, or eSports for short, are a type of sport in which players and teams from all over the world participate in various video games. Esports contests’ winner/winning team is frequently awarded large prizes and rewards.  

After the plague has passed and everything has returned to normal, gaming and eSports explode. Along with the number of participants and games, competitions and tournaments are growing.

Tens of thousands of competitive games are played in tournaments and eSports competitors worldwide every year.

In the traditional game mode of the strategic first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, two players compete as terrorists and anti-terrorists (CS: GO).

Or on the terrorists’ side, there are two immobile captives, and the counter-terrorist team must rescue at least one of them and transport it to the hostage rescue zone. 

Furthermore, Players carrying a hostage cannot fire and must move more slowly. Terrorists can bring a hostage back to its original location if an anti-terrorist is killed during a rescue effort.

Dota 2 is currently one of the most popular Esport games. Valve Corporation’s Dota 2 is a popular multiplayer battle arena esports game.

Since the first League of Legends event in 2009, the number of viewers, players, and tournaments has exploded worldwide.

The League of Legends (LoL) World Championship, which takes place every year in different locations worldwide with a $1 million prize pool, is the most important event in this eSports game.

The initial excitement surrounding the Battle Royale shooter “Fortnite” has yet to fade. The eSports game has a simple gaming principle: 100 people compete against each other on a large map.  

Unlike other Battle Royale games, though, Fortnite emphasizes gathering resources and constructing facilities. These can be used to obtain a tactical advantage over other players or provide cover.

Valiant is now one of the most popular eSports titles, thanks to its unique concept. A new full-action tactical game developed by Riot Games, Valiant has immense popularity. Riot has launched professional League of Legends competitions all across the world.  

Valiant has become a new eSports craze rather than a new title from a young studio. In addition, Riot announced its initial plans for Valorant eSports shortly after its debut, stating that it would take a more lenient approach.  

Furthermore, Riot describes three stages of competition using a well-organized format, with higher prize pools gradually growing each year. This makes the transition from amateur to professional much more accessible. 

11. StarCraft II

Rounding off our list of most popular esport games is Starcraft ii. Blizzard Entertainment created this real-time strategy game.

It is a follow-up to the first Starcraft game. The game is set on a science-fiction planet where three species are at odds: Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss.
