Last but not least on our list of the best movies of 1999 is The Bicentennial Man, which sequels the events of April 3, 2005, when the NDR series robot “Andrew” is brought into the Martin family home to perform housekeeping and support obligations and presents himself by showing a show of the Three Laws of Mechanical Technology. 

The oldest girl, Beauty, scorns Andrew, yet her more youthful sister, Amanda, is thoughtful to him. Andrew finds that he feels feelings and is attracted to investing more energy in his “Little Miss.” 

He inadvertently breaks one of her glass dolls and cuts another out of wood, which shocks her dad, Richard. He takes Andrew to NorthAm Advanced Mechanics to ask, assuming Andrew’s imagination was necessary for his programming. 

NorthAm’s Chief Dennis Mansky claims this is an issue and offers to scrap Andrew; instead, Richard brings Andrew back home and urges him to proceed with his innovativeness and investigate different humanities. 

Andrew turns into a clockmaker and procures a sizable fortune overseen by Richard after they find that robots have no privileges under current regulations.

Time elapses, and Richard urges Dennis to retrofit Andrew with the capacity to introduce looks to match his feelings. Around twenty years after being awoken, Andrew gives Richard all the cash he has made to request his opportunity. 

Injured by this, Richard won’t acknowledge it yet, but he concedes Andrew’s autonomy on the condition that he may never again live at the Martin home. Andrew constructs his own house by the ocean side. 

In 2048, Richard is on his demise bed and apologizes to Andrew for banishing him before he passes on.
