After a decade of Pirates of the Caribbean films, it takes a lot to keep people interested. And while the Dead Men Tell No Tales film has undergone numerous production delays; it also went through some significant changes during that time.

It’s actually been a fascinating journey to follow as we’ve seen what each new big-screen film would bring.

So, how many times have you already started watching Pirates of the Caribbean in order? And how many times has your wife or girlfriend asked when you’re going to stop watching those pirate films?

Pirates of the Caribbean in order from the first movie to the latest movie. The movie franchise Pirates of the Caribbean in order consists of 5 movies, which were released between 2003 and 2017.

This post describes the story and other fun facts about each movie.

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

In this list of Pirates of the Caribbean in order; Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a thrilling action-adventure story set in an era when criminal gangs plunder the Caribbean coast.

This roller coaster legend includes a young man, Will Turner, and his unpopular partner in the notorious criminal Jack Sparrow.

Together, they must fight against the world’s most treacherous band of robbers, led by the accursed Captain Barbossa, to save Elizabeth; Will’s love for life, and restore the lost fortune Jack seeks.

Contrary to impossibilities, they rushed to the climax of the mysterious Isla de Muerta.

Fighting with their swords in a deadly battle, Will and Jack try to recapture the Black Pearl, save the British navy, and renounce the forbidden treasure, thus removing the curse of the Pirates of the Caribbean.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006)

Second, this Dead Man’s Chest is on our list of Pirates of the Caribbean in order. William and Elizabeth were sentenced to death for contacting Jack Sparrow.

To save Elizabeth, Will agrees to bring Jack’s compass to secure his and Elizabeth’s freedom.

Meanwhile, Jack is being hunted by Davy Jones. Elizabeth comes out of prison to look for Will. Jack agrees to sell Will his compass if he finds a unique key to open a special chest.

Will boards the Flying Dutchman to find the key, where he was apprehended and reunites with his father in Flying Dutchman.

He sees the key and runs away from the ship. At that moment, Jack finds Elizabeth to find Davy Jones’ heart-filled chest. Will and Elizabeth reunited on the island and opened their hearts, and found the heart of Davy Jones.

Although Jack wants to pay off his debt to Jones, Will wants us to release his father and someone else to care for his needs. Who is this mysterious person, and what does he want to do with it?

3. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007)

Third, our list of Pirates of the Caribbean in order is At World’s End (2007). After Elizabeth, Will, and Captain Barbossa have rescued Captain Jack Sparrow from the underworld, they must face their enemies, Davy Jones, and Lord Cutler Beckett.

Beckett, who now controls Jones’ heart, formed a black alliance with him to dominate the sea and complete the final for the Pirates.

Now, Barbossa, Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Tia Dalma, and the staff must summon the Pirate Lords to meet the four corners of the earth, including the infamous Sao Feng.

The Pirate Lords want to free the goddess Calypso, a condemned Davy Jones lover, from the trap they sent him out of for fear when they have to wrap up nine pieces that bind him in practice undo and release him in the hope that he will help them fight.

With this, all pirates will stand together and make their final stand of liberty against Beckett, Jones, Norrington, Flying Dutchman, and the rest of the East India Trading Company.

4. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)

Next on our list of Pirates of the Caribbean in order is On Stranger Tides (2011). In London, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) escapes the chasing soldiers and discovers that the cheater is hiring a crew and a ship using his name.

He meets a fake character and discovers that she is Angelica (Penélope Cruz), who seduces him into a monastery in Seville. where Jack is kidnapped again, and when he wakes up from the boat, the ship is off.

Angelica tells him that his father, Pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), is cursed and needs to find the famous Ponce de Leon Youth Source to save his life.

They forced Jack, who knew the location of the well, to direct them. Meanwhile, Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) is being recruited by King George (Richard Griffiths) to lead the British delegation and the fight against the Spaniards and Blackbeard, who arrives first at the well.

But in their desperate attempt, they first need to get two cups belonging to Ponce de Leon and a mermaid tear.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge (2017)

Finally on our list of Pirates of the Caribbean in order is Salazar’s Revenge. Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), a deadly ghost, escapes the Devil’s triangle with his crew and takes the sea in search of his greatest rival and the author of all his pain, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).

Meanwhile, Jack is approaching a guy who needs to get a Trident of Poseidon, something he believes only Sparrow can help him get.

Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), an astronomer, joins the team to help her find something she considers her father wanted her to see.

Jack’s only hope is to find the legendary Trident of Poseidon, his master who controls all the seas, or so.

Pirates of the Caribbean was first released in 2003 and became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

There are five films in the franchise, so you can mix it up and watch the Pirates of the Caribbean in order or watch all four without missing a beat.

Captain Jack Sparrow stands out as a memorable pirate character that has swashed and buckled his way into our hearts through his mischief, wild antics, and mind-boggling escapes.
