Atlus is a video game developer, publisher, and arcade manufacturer based in Japan.
They are well known for their Japanese role-playing games, with Megami Tensei being the most well-known Print Club (Purikura) arcade machine in East Asia.

1. 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a role-playing Atlus video game in which players control thirteen different characters that interact with one another to form a broader story.
The game is divided into three sections: Remembrance, where characters equip mecha and engage in pausable real-time battles against enemies; Destruction, where characters provide mecha and engage in pausable real-time battles against enemies; and Analysis, a glossary that documents event scenes, essential items, and characters.
2. Tokyo Mirage Sessions
Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE is a role-playing video Atlus video games (RPG) hybrid of the Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem franchises.
The game is set in modern-day Tokyo and follows members of a talent agency as they battle hostile aliens from another world known as Mirages.
The main cast is aided by friendly Mirages based on characters from several Fire Emblem games. The tale is divided into chapters.
The player can also participate in internal stories for various playable and supporting characters and take tasks from non-playable characters (NPCs) throughout Tokyo.
3. Catherine Full Body
Catherine is a cross-genre Atlus video game in which players take control of Vincent Brooks, a man who suffers from terrible dreams due to his many relationships with women.
Daytime social simulation phases, in which Vincent interacts with diverse characters at the Stray Sheep pub, and nightmare sequences, he navigates lethal block towers utilizing a combination of platforming and puzzle-solving.
The game is divided into “Golden Playhouse,” a single-player story campaign, and “Babel.” After finishing the story, the multiplayer-exclusive “Colosseum” challenge levels become available.
4. Radian Historia
Radiant Historia is a fantasy role-playing Atlus video game that follows a group of characters as they travel across the war-torn continent of Vainqueur.
The game’s surroundings are explored top-down, with different zones opening up during the story. A world map is used to access these self-contained regions, which may be freely explored.
Following the game’s first objective, the protagonist Stocke can manipulate boxes to clear passageways and solve puzzles and other components like destructible objects and treasure chests holding consumables or goods like armor and weaponry.
5. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2
Devil Survivor 2 is a role-playing Atlus video game with a tactical twist.
In combat, the player assumes the position of a youthful demon tamer, as in the previous Devil Survivor game, and is free to interact with other characters at the risk of time passing or to engage in free conflicts that do not cause the time pass.
In battles with a computer opponent, you must defeat adversaries and complete specific tasks, such as assisting other characters, while avoiding situations that may cause the mission to fail.
6. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth
Persona Q is an Atlus game that features characters from Persona 3 (P3) and Persona 4 (P4) (P4). It is a dungeon crawler in the Etrian Odyssey series, which P-Studio also developed.
The game revolves around characters navigating mazes, with turn-based battles emerging in specific areas. Characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 are included in the player’s party, impacting various dialogue and story events.
The game is divided into two sections: a high school and labyrinths.
7. Etrian Odyssey IV
The gameplay is similar to the previous three games with minor alterations. The sky has been added as a new overworld for the player to explore via an airship, which gets the capacity to fly at higher altitudes as the game progresses.
FOEs in the overworld are usually significantly more potent than those in dungeons. Also, dragons roam the overworld regularly, and if the player’s airship falls within their attack range, they will instantly knock out the entire party, resulting in a game over.
8. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux
This Atlus video game follows a United Nations special task force dispatched to Antarctica to examine the Schwarzwelt, a spatial distortion that threatens to consume the entire world.
In first-person mode, players control an anonymous protagonist who navigates the Schwarzwelt’s landscapes.
The player and recruited demons face numerous foes in combat, with the protagonist having the option of conversing with and recruiting enemies. Multiple endings are unlocked depending on the decisions made in the story.
9. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster
After the planet undergoes Conception, an apocalyptic event provoked by a nefarious cult to precipitate the earth’s rebirth in a new form, a high school student in modern-day Tokyo is converted into the demonic Demi-fiend.
The Demi-fiend becomes crucial to the plots of the Reasons, entities who aim to remake the world in their image, and Lucifer, the lord of demons, as Tokyo is changed into a Vortex World teeming with monsters.
A turn-based battle system based on exploiting weaknesses is used in the game, and a Demon recruiting system allows the player to recruit demons from the Vortex World to fight with them.
10. Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse
The player controls the demon hunter Nanashi exploring post-apocalyptic Tokyo and Mikado’s medieval realm in Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse.
The location, the majority of demons, and a considerable number of mechanics are all carried over from Shin Megami Tensei IV. The player navigates local surroundings with an overhead world map in a third-person perspective.
11. Shin Megami Tensei V
The player takes control of a high school student who is unexpectedly dragged into exploring reports about demons allegedly appearing in a tunnel with two of his other classmates.
After entering the tunnel, the player is knocked out by a mystery earthquake. When he wakes up, he is alone in Da’At, a post-apocalyptic version of Tokyo where angels and demons are engaged in a titanic fight.
12. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
This Atlus video game, Soul Hackers, is a role-playing game. From a first-person perspective, players travel dungeons, solve puzzles, and fight opponent demons in turn-based fights.
In addition to having one or two human characters in their party, the player can summon four demons to battle alongside them.
Players gain access to monsters through speaking with opposing nightmares and negotiating with them; discussions can include answering questions, intimidating demons, or providing them with stuff they desire.
13. Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is a role-playing Atlus video game in which the player guides a group of characters through Sumaru, a fictional city.
From an adjustable angled overhead perspective, the camera follows the party, and an overworld map is used to traverse the city in general.
The Rumor system is an essential part of the story and gameplay. When the characters hear a rumor, they can disseminate it around the city using various symbols. Those rumors can reward them with unique things or have other positive or negative repercussions.
14. Snowboard Kids
As an Atlus video game, Snowboard Kids adds “Shots” (special weapons used to assault others) and goods that can benefit the player, harm other players, or both to the standard snowboarding gameplay. There are nine main courses in the game.
Although many of the courses are snowy mountains, some are unconventional for snowboarding in the actual world.
15. Megami Tensei Gaiden: New Last Bible II
Megami Tensei Gaiden: New Last Bible II is a role-playing Atlus video game with similar gameplay. Players explore the game world and engage in combat with various enemies.
During the battle, players select commands from a menu for their characters to carry out. Players can use physical attacks and magic spells to attack enemies; different magic is effective against various types of monsters.
Atlus video games are not a new genre, dating back to the 80s. Though made primarily for the Japanese video games industry, Atlus video games also provide a unique style of graphic content.
