Norman was gifted (or cursed) with the ability to see and converse with the dead. That power made Norman an outcast in the city and even his family.

But when Norman’s uncle, Mr. Prenderghast (John Goodman), dies unexpectedly, he gives Norman a new mission from the afterlife. Now it’s up to Norman to rid his hometown of the witch’s curse, and he only has one day to do it.

2. The Prestige (2006)

In the late 19th century, Robert Angier, his beloved wife Julia McCullough, and Alfred Borden were friends and assistants to a wizard in London. 

Unfortunately, Julia accidentally dies during a performance, Robert blames Alfred for her death, and they become enemies.

Both become famous magicians and rivals who sabotage each other’s performance on stage. When Alfred pulls off a successful stunt, Robert obsessively tries to uncover his competitor’s secret, with tragic consequences.

In this 2021 release on our list of magic movies on Netflix, By the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Xiaobai was forced under the Leifeng Pagoda by Fahai after saving Xu Xian.

Xiaoqing was accidentally led into a strange fantasy of the city of Shura by Fahai. In several crises, mysterious masked youth protects Xiaoqing. Obsessed with saving Xiaobai, Xiaoqing experienced disaster and growth and sought to go with the masked youth.

This movie was voiced by Xiaoxi Tang, Zhang Fuzheng, and Zhongyang Baomu.

4. The Huntsman – Winter’s War (2016)

Devastated by a cruel and terrible betrayal, Freya (Emily Blunt), the once benevolent younger sister of the evil sorceress Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron), renounces love and watches her slumbering magical powers emerge.

5. Seventh Son (2014)

The charismatic magician Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) leads a team of talented illusionists called the Four Horsemen.

Atlas and his companions mesmerize the audience with some incredible magic shows that empty the bank accounts of the corrupt and pass the money on to the audience.

A federal agent (Mark Ruffalo) and an Interpol detective (Mélanie Laurent) want to check the knights before their next prank and turn to Thaddeus (Morgan Freeman), a famous debunker, for help.

7. The Last Witch Hunter (2015)

Eight hundred years ago, the Queen of Witches executed Black Death to destroy humankind.

A group of heroes, such as Kaulder (Vin Diesel), a widow whose family had died in the plague, stormed her nest, and Kaulder defeated her in a subsequent battle.

Before her death, the Queen of Witches cursed Kaulder for eternal life.

Currently, Kaulder is working to prevent accidental destruction with a climate control run that holds a teenage witch in her luggage.

10. StarDust (2007)

In the 19th century, clumsy teenager Tristan Thorne (Charlie Cox) crossed the city limits to the magical kingdom of Stormhold to bring his fallen star to his beloved Victoria (Sienna Miller). The latter promised him she would marry him without love.

Urshu, the chief architect to set persuades Bek to steal Horus’ eyes from a well-protected pyramid designed by Zaya Urshu, who works for Urshu, and return him to Horus, who is the only one capable of defeating Set.

Bek succeeds but takes only one eye; However, when Urshu finds out about the theft, Bek and Zaya escape.

Urshu kills Zaya with an arrow, and Bek offers to help Horus take back his other eye in return, and Bek demands that Horus bring his beloved Zaya from the underworld.

They unite, and soon Horus’ lover Hathor, the goddess of love leaves Set, to join Bek and Horus in their quest to defeat the evil Set.

15. The Yin-Yan Master (2021)

Finally, on our list of magic movies on Netflix, we have The Yin-Yan Master, a sequel to other magic movies on Netflix, The Yin-Yan Master: Dream of Eternity.

The Captain of the City Guard, Yuan Boya, was stripped of his rank after the Imperial Tribute he was guarding was stolen from him; not wanting to leave things alone, he searches for thieves, only to finally invade a mystical world of demons.

On the way, he gets into a fight between Yinyang’s master, Qing Ming, and the world of humans and demons. yuan Boya and Qing Ming move from mutual dislike to reluctant respect, ultimately establishing an unbreakable bond between the teacher and the “familiar.” 

The two work together to solve an ancient mystery and prove Qing Ming’s innocence as they uncover a conspiracy to resurrect the Demon King and destroy the human world.

In the end, Yuan Boya becomes a respected hero, while Qing Ming makes a great sacrifice. By adapting the phenomenal mobile game Onmyoji (Master of Yin and Yang) into a film and series of the same name, CKF Pictures brings this vast oriental magic-filled world to the big screen.
