NASA turns to a rogue oil driller, Harry Stamper, to head a team of astronauts to drill a hole in the asteroid and deposit a nuclear bomb in it. This was intended to blow the asteroid off course and save humanity.

Rosa Salazer creates a stunning motion performance for Alita, our battle angel. The innocence and vulnerability of Alita are very emotional when Dr. Dyson Ido boots up her. The performance from the lead cast is stellar.
This movie does not disappoint in any way. The plot is interactive enough to keep viewers focused, and the fight scenes are nothing short of amazing. Everything is handled very well in the most entertaining manner.

However, Marvel delivered another surprise here by making us realize that Thor’s powers were within him, and the hammer was just there to help him contain and direct it. Thor: Ragnarok is one of the best movies in the Thor series.
Thor loses his father early on in this film. The death of Odin causes the release of Odin’s daughter, Hela, the goddess of death. In a not so epic battle between Thor, Loki, and Hela, the goddess of death easily breaks Thor’s hammer.
Without his hammer, Thor feels powerless and soon finds himself imprisoned on the other side of the universe. He is forced to fight in a gladiatorial tournament where he finds himself pitched against his old ally and fellow Avenger, the Hulk.
In the epic fight, Thor’s powers surface without the hammer. He, Loki, and Hulk escape the Grandmaster and return to Asgard, where Thor fights Hela to prevent the destruction of his homeworld.

I don’t think this movie is only suitable for the kids. Even adults will have a good time watching this movie, and it is one movie that is pleasant to all age groups.

Marvel had spent a great deal of effort developing the character of some of the avengers. From Captain America to Iron man and Thor, marvel brought them together for an epic showdown in what will begin the Avengers’ series.
An entertaining movie from the beginning to the end, The Avengers takes out imaginations into the sky.
The visual effects are stunning, and the actors deliver world-class performances. This is one of the movies that cemented Marvel’s position as one of the best science fictional studios.
Loki (Tom Hiddleston) decides to invade earth to please Thanos. He uses the Tesseract, a glowing cube that emits a great amount of energy to open portals to another universe, forcing the Avengers to band together to defeat this common foe.
The Avengers aren’t exactly united at first, but they become the greatest force against Loki on earth when they achieve balance.
The film remains one of the best sci-fi movies on Disney Plus, and the stunning fight scenes appeal to critics and fans.
The film contains everything we could ask for in a superhero film. The characters were great, and the action scenes were choreographed correctly.
It will be hard to notice the flaws with such epic execution, except you, are a die-hard movie critique.
I enjoyed watching this movie and wouldn’t mind watching it again. But when you have so many sci-fi movies on different streaming platforms, it might take a while to go back to this movie.
Nonetheless, it is on the list of movies I will watch again.
10. Logan (2017)
The wolverine has grown old and weary, taking up a job as a chauffeur to take care of Professor Charles Xavier. He has to keep the professor in check to prevent the death of all mutants in the world.
Logan reminds us that superheroes are not immortal, even those with regenerative abilities. The film explores the declining years of wolverine as he is drawn back into action when a girl’s life is threatened.
Logan explores a side of our favorite characters we had never seen before. The wolverine finally had his chance to go all haywire despite being disappointed by his age. Trust me. You have never seen a fight like this before.
This film has an emotional tone to it, and some would say that is a befitting end to the wolverine character. I am not mainly a fan of Professor X, but I loved wolverine for the raw and straight-to-the-point nature he had.
As one of the best sci-fi movies on Disney Plus, Logan will take you on a superhero path with a sad ending. You will enjoy this movie from the beginning to the end. The clone gives us a glimpse into the future of wolverine.
11. Avengers: Endgame (2019)
A brilliant masterpiece from Marvel Studios, Avengers: Endgame became the most talked about movie in 2019.
Finally, after a decade from Avatar, Endgame treated us to an epic sci-fi movie of all time. This movie is just incredible.
Following the snap by Thanos, the remaining Avengers risk it all by traveling back in time to collect the infinity stones. The mission was a success, and however, they brought back a more ruthless Thanos from the past.
Avengers: Endgame currently sits as the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time. The visual effects are just spectacular.
For me, this is probably the best sci-fi movie available on Disney Plus, and I could watch it hundred times and not get bored.
Thor realizes that he is still worthy of Mjolnir despite the disappointment he has become. Finally, our favorite Captain America proves worthy to lift Mjolnir.

John Carter has a lot of dimensions in its plot that results in a thrilling and exciting fantasy movie. This film will be entertaining if you can ignore the plot holes here and there, and some of the twists in the plot drew my attention even more.
John Carter knows how to keep an audience happy. The addition of a romantic subplot leaves the audience with a full feeling.
Who wouldn’t like a bit of romance to spice things up? The romantic scenes serve as a fitting distraction to the action sequences.
The humor is well distributed throughout the movie to keep you laughing now and then. The scenery adds to the appealing beauty of the film. The creators put in a great amount of work to make the visual effects.
This is a movie worth checking out.
13. Race to Witch Mountain (2009)
Dwayne Johnson delivers a respectable performance in this movie. Many of us might know him from the famous Fast and Furious saga, but he has acted in a few good films as well.
This is one of those movies where you have a tough guy who wants to prove that he can be a superhero.
Disney gave us a good, clean and fun family movie to watch. You can’t help but notice the charm and natural swagger of Dwayne Johnson that gives this old-time classic a modern dimension.

There are many car chases and running scenes to keep you on your toes. It is incredible how the producers managed to pack in this fun film under hundred minutes. Nevertheless, the short run time is perfect for it.
14. Black Panther (2018)
T’Challa ascends the throne of Wakanda only to lose again. Marvel gave us an epic and extended look into the life and culture of Wakanda. Black Panther is one of those movies that will keep your eyes fixed throughout.
I’ve probably watched this movie a few times, and I wouldn’t mind watching it again. The visuals in this film are simply stunning, and it has won three Academy Awards, including the AACTA award for best visual effects or animation.
Marvel carefully crafted a black superhero into the king of Wakanda. It is an epic and one of Marvel’s best movies. The fight scenes are stellar and entertaining, and I probably want to try out that Black Panther Suit for myself.
The epic storytelling in this movie places it among the best sci-fi movies on Disney Plus. I love it, and you will love it too.

The film follows the life of Scott, a petty thief who has just been released from prison. In a heist to steal a technologically advanced suit from Darren Cross, Scott gets involved with Hank Pym and his daughter.
The humor in this film will have you laughing away the stress of the day. It is great for weekdays and weekends and is best combined with popcorn.
