It’s the one day of the year when you may drink silly and scold passersby for not wearing green.

After all, why not? If the Irish have taught us anything over the years, it’s that any excuse to drink is a good one.  

Most people would want to spend the vacation getting wasted in bars and insisting on people kissing them because they’re a 1/16th Irish on their mother’s side.  

You might want to save your liver and spend it watching some of Ireland’s best St Patrick’s Day Movies on Netflix.  

1. The Irishman (2019)

“The Irishman” Frank Sheeran is a man who is preoccupied with many things. During WWII, he learned to kill while serving in Italy as a high-ranking labor union official and hitman.   

Furthermore, he reflects on his life and the hits that shaped his criminal career while maintaining ties to the Bufalino crime family.  

In particular, he claims to have played a role in the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa, the former president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. They mysteriously vanished at the age of 62 in late July 1975.   

The top cast includes Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, and Harvey Keitel.   

2. Kill The Irishman (2011)

As president of a longshoreman’s local union, who rises to power, gets charged with corruption but avoids substantial jail time by becoming an FBI informant.   

Additionally, he joins up with a Mafia gangster to ascend to dominance in Cleveland’s underground, earning the reputation of a Robin Hood-like person with nine lives after surviving numerous murder attempts.

3. Derry Girls (2018)

Derry Girls’ is a frank, family-centered comedy and coming-of-age narrative set in Northern Ireland in the 1990s.

Meanwhile, UN advisor Dr. Conor Cruise O’Brien launches Operation Morthor, a military operation against mercenaries from France and Belgium.

Due to the mercenaries ‘ retaliation, many Katangese and mercenary forces soon besieged Quinlan and his men.
