The Alfred Hitchcock Presents series inspired Argento and his collaborators to create a flawed but intriguing set of films.
Each of the four episodes is presented by Argento, and each offers a stand-alone narrative in its way. Two of the four episodes were written and directed by Argento, who turned the other two off to Mario Foglietti, a seasoned RAI filmmaker, and his frequent partner Luigi Cozzi.
