It was an exciting moment for all PUBG Mobile lovers over the launch of its new version PUBG Mobile Lite.

With this new version now available in the Google Play Store, they have been questions circling the PUBG community about the difference between both versions.

Although the Lite version of the game has gotten many positive reviews, fans are still concerned about the purpose of releasing a Lite version than making the actual game (PUBG Mobile) suitable for all devices.

Various things set both versions aside, things like reducing the number of players and the arena.

This is certain, PUBG Lite was built in such a way that it can run on low-end smartphones.

This article will breakdown the differences between PUBG Mobile and its Lite counterpart in case you’re wondering why the Lite version was released.

Requirements

PUBG was built to run on a device with a minimum of 2 GB of RAM. It can run on devices with low internet connectivity, but its minimum requirement is 2 GB of RAM.

The processor of the smartphone is very important for getting better graphics if you want to enjoy PUBG Mobile.

While for PUBG Lite, it’s easier than ever for optimal settings. It requires less than 2GB of RAM to run. 2G is more than enough for it to run.

To install it, it requires a minimum of 500 MB of free space; however, PUBG Mobile requires a minimum of 2.4GB of storage space.

Gaming Modes

The appearance of both versions is different. PUBG Lite has just two gaming modes (Arcade and Classic).

The classic game mode has a single map, Erangel which is a default map in PUBG Mobile, whereas Arcade mode also has a single map called War. This can be achieved when you climb to level 10.

However, PUBG Mobile has three game modes which are Arcade, Classic and Evoground. Classic has a separate four maps (Vikendi, Sanhok, Miramar and Erangel), while Evoground has three separate options called TDM, Zombie and Zombie: Survive Till Dawn 2.

PUBG Mobile Lite is only available for South America and Asia servers. On PUBG Mobile, you have Sniper training, mini zone, War, Quick Match under Arcade mode.

You also have TDM warehouse in Evoground alongside Zombie: Darkest Night and Zombie Survive Till Dawn 2. And its server’s options are South America, Europe, North America, Asia, Middle East, and KRIP.

Gameplay

There is a difference between both versions based on gameplay. On PUBG Mobile, there’s a classic Battle Royale mode where the player competes with hundreds of players around the world.

PUBG Mobile Lite is not that grand compared to its big brother. On its Erangel map, you can have 60 players fighting it out and since it’s lower and has smaller players, the game can load faster and the players can move faster between locations.

PUBG Mobile Lite has facilities like aim assist, bullet trail change, extended time to kill, etc.
