There are several Ryan Reynolds comic book movies, but he is best known for his role on Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds, the actor of Free Guy, has played various superhero roles, ranging from some of the most infamous comic book adaptations to some of the best of all time. 

Reynolds is now recognized for his lighthearted sense of humor and his fondness for high-octane action films. 

Let’s take a look back at Reynold’s superhero performances to see what worked and what didn’t before he makes his much-anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Deadpool 3.

1. Deadpool (2016)

Due to its favorable reaction, studios began to place a greater emphasis on R-rated superhero films, prompting similar blockbusters such as David Ayer’s Suicide Squad and James Mangold’s Logan to target an older audience.

However, after the death of Abin Sur, the greatest Green Lantern, he reluctantly accepts the challenge.

Putting his concerns aside and motivated by a sense of duty and love for his beautiful, intellectually equal colleague, Carol Ferris, he is soon called upon to defend humanity against Parallax. 

This powerful, malevolent monster feeds on fear. Additionally, Many  Green Lanterns have been killed, weakening the Corps. Thus, Hal Jordan is the universe’s last hope, and he could be the proper Green Lantern.

3. R.I.P.D (2013)

In the backyard of his residence in Boston, the corrupt cop Nick hides riches that he has taken from drug dealers alongside his sidekick Hayes. 

The following day, however, Nick informs Hayes that he will bring the proof to the police since he loves his wife Julia and cannot bear her acting in this manner. 

Furthermore, when Nick and Hayes are deployed on a raid against a violent gang, Hayes kills Nick unexpectedly. 

Additionally, Nick is pulled by a tunnel. The Proctor assigns him in the hereafter to join the Rest in Peace Department, which defends the living world from the undead, and to work with the old-fashioned agent Roy, based on his past expertise in the police department. 

However, Hayes devises a strategy to revert the tunnel to the afterlife and bring the Apocalypse to Earth, which Roy and Nick discover by mistake.

4. Blade: Trinity (2004)

When Blade sees a vampire bite, Dr. Karen Jenson defeats the creature and returns her to his lair. Additionally, Blade works alongside Abraham Whistler to assist Jenson in healing. 

Quinn, the vampire Blade attacked, reports to his master Deacon Frost, planning a massive surprise for the human population.

5. X-Men Origins: Wolverines (2009)

Logan and Victor, two mutant brothers, born two hundred years ago, have experienced childhood trauma and have only each other to rely on. They’re combatants and killers who have lived through every conflict in American history. 

Additionally, in current times, Stryker, a US Colonel, recruits them and other mutants as commandos. Logan quits his job and works as a logger, where he meets and falls in love with a local teacher. 

Furthermore, the Colonel dispatches the murderous Victor after Logan refuses to rejoin Stryker’s crew. Logan now seeks vengeance.
