Fun fact about Bobby’s world cast is that Howie Mandel voiced more than one character, and he also created the show.

Bobby’s world is an animated American comedy series that aired on Fox Kids from September 8, 1990, to February 23, 1998.  

The producers of this series were Phil Roman, Howie Mandel, Mitch Schauer, and Gary Conrad.

Additionally, 20th Television Saban International distributed it, and the production companies were Film Roma, Fox Children’s productions, and Alevy Productions.

The series aired 81 episodes in 7 seasons. 

Furthermore, the series is about the daily life of Bobby Generic, a four years old boy with an overactive imagination, and how he sees the world.

Some of Bobby’s world cast are;

1. Howie Madel 

Howie is a Canadian actor and comedian. He is part of Bobby’s world cast. He voiced more than one character in the animation. 

Firstly, he voiced the character of Robert Adelvice “Bobby” Generic. Bobby is a four years old boy who loves to imagine things.

The series of scenes with Bobby usually involves Bobby giving literal meaning to famous sayings that other characters in the show said.  

For example, he imagines “traffic jam” as spreading tiny cars and trucks on a piece of bread and eating it. Also, whenever he enters a competition, he loses because he always ends up being overly imaginative.  

Bobby’s signature look is a white shirt with red short sleeves, red shorts, and blue sneakers. His shirt leaves his stomach exposed. 

Secondly, Howie voiced Howard Generic. Howard is Bobby’s father. Most times, he sends Bobby to his room as a sort of punishment for his behavior. 

Lastly, Howie voiced himself, Howie Mandel, in Bobby’s world cast. He acts as a live-action who interacts with Bobby in the hybrid opening and closing scenes.  

2. Gail Mathius 

Gail voiced Martha Sven-Generic in Bobby’s world cast. Martha is Bobby’s red hair-headed mother, often seen wearing a sky-blue tracksuit.  

She has a pronounced Midwestern accent and usually adds the phrases “don’t cha know, Fer cryin’ in the mud, gee golly, gosh darn” and “for corn sakes” to her speeches.  

Furthermore, this character was based on Gail’s character on Saturday Night live, Roweena, a chain-smoking hairdresser who gets into arguments with her customers. 

In addition, Gail is a 67 years old American actress and comedian. She is best known for being on Saturday Night Live.  

However, she is a voice actress for some animations, some of which are Tiny Toon Adventures, The Tick, Bump in the Night, The Ren & Stimpy Show, and Animaniacs. 

3. Charity James 

Charity voiced the character of Kelly Generic in Bobby’s world cast. Kelly is Bobby’s sister. She is a 15 years old rebellious tomboy.  

Also, she is the eldest Generic sibling who could be seen sporting a blonde shag haircut, pink-striped tights, and purple eyeshadow.  

Kelly has the accent and manners of a valley girl and often uses the catchphrase “Get real.”

Besides, Kelly’s character was based on another Saturday Night lives feeling, Vicky, a valley girl who annoys people with shallow questions and ramblings. 

Additionally, Charity is a 62 years old American actress. She is best known for being a voice actress in Space Jam, Anastasia, Balto III: Wings of Change, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. 

4. Kelvin Michaels 

Kelvin voiced the character of Derek Generic in Bobby’s world cast. Derek is Bobby’s ten years old brother who bullies him.  

Derek has a rat-tail hairdo in the animation, often seen on slashed blue jeans, and is very sarcastic.

He is loves teasing and bullying Bobby, calling him a “dork” or “dweeb.” Sadly, Bobby believes everything he says, which usually leads to their parents reprimanding Derek for deceiving Bobby. 

Furthermore, Kelvin only voiced Derek from 1990-1996. Pamela Adlon told him from 1997-1998. Pamela is a 55 years old British-American actress, director, screenwriter, and producer.  

She is best known for her character in the animation King of the Hill, which won her a Primetime Emmy Award.

She has voiced other animations in Milo Murphy’s Law, Jungle Club, Recess, and Pajama Sam, among others. 

5. Tara Strong 

Tara voiced Jake and Alex Generic in Bobby’s world cast. Jake and Alex are Bobby’s five months old twin brothers. They were introduced in the series in season 3 as Martha was pregnant with them in season 2.  

Additionally, Tara Strong is a 48 years old Canadian actress. She is best known for her character in the recently released Marvel’s Loki series.  

However, she has been a voice actress in several animations, for example, The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, Napoleon Dynamite, Teen Titans Go!

The Fairly OddParents, Teen Titans, and The Powerpuff Girls, among others. 

6. Susan Tolsky 

Susan voiced Ruth Sven in Bobby’s world cast. Ruth is Martha’s sister and Bobby’s aunt. Ruth is an amply-contoured blonde lady with a pretty face whose hair is always tied in a bun.  

Also, Ruth is very kind, loving and affectionate towards Bobby. She loves pinching his cheeks which Bobby doesn’t care for.  

Although she is single, she does not attempt to find a sweetheart. Her signature attire in the series is knee-high stockings which are rolled into rings at the cuffs. 

Furthermore, Susan is 78 years old American actress. She is best known for her role in The New Bill Cosby Show, Here Come the Brides, and Madame’s Place.

Also, she was a voice actress for Pepper Ann, The Buzz on Maggie, and Darkwing Duck. 

7. Tino Insana 

Tino voiced Ted Sven in Bobby’s world cast. Ted is Ruth and Martha’s brother and Bobby’s uncle. Ted is a blond, jolly gentleman with a deep rough voice. Bobby loves hanging out with Uncle Ted because he loves the fun.  

He always jokes around with Bobby and finds fun stuff to do together, including giving Bobby noogies. Besides, Uncle Ted is a collector of various things, one of which is his legendary Socks in a Can.  

Unlike Ruth, uncle Ted is single and is searching for a sweetheart; however, his attempts end in a disaster. Uncle Ted nicknamed Bobby, “Bobbo” and his signature look is a yellow shirt with red hearts imprints. 

Furthermore, Tino was a 69 years old American actor, comedian, producer, and writer. He died on May 31, 2017.

He has featured in several animations: Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, The Little Mermaid, Pepper Ann, Tom, and Jerry: The Movie, Bubble Guppies, Aladdin, and Jungle Clubs, among others. 

8. Frank Welker 

Frank voiced Roger in Bobby’s world cast. Roger is the Generics’ pet dog. Besides, Frank is 75 years old actor, comedian, and impressionist.  

Frank is the third highest-grossing film actor of all time. He is best known for many blockbuster animations, such as Scobby-Doo, Epic Mickey, Transformers, The Garfield Show, The Smurfs, and Punkin’ Puss & Mushmouse, among others. 

9. Pauly Shore 

Pauly voiced George in Bobby’s world cast. George is Kelly’s boyfriend. Moreover, Pauly is 53 years old American actor and comedian.

He is best known for his role in Encino Man (1992), Son in Law (1993), and Bio-Dome (1996). 

10. Candi Milo 

Candi voiced more than one character in Bobby’s world cast. She voiced Tiffany, Amber, and Andrea, who were all Kelly’s friends. Moreover, Candi is a 60 years old American actress.  

She is a voice actress that has been in a lot of animations, some of which are Cow and Chicken, Tiny Toon Adventures, Dexter’s Laboratory, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Replacements, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Boy Genius and Loonatics Unleashed, among others.  

11. Debi Derryberry 

Debi voiced Jackie in Bobby’s world cast. Jackie is Bobby’s best friend, who also happens to have a crush on Bobby. She has floor-length pigtails.  

She often kisses Bobby, which he hates, and makes a point of constantly wiping off her kisses with his hands. Also, Jackie speaks in a monotone. 

Besides, Debi is an American voice actress. She has voiced several animations and video games. Some of which are; Taz-Mania.

The Addams Family, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, CatDog, Monster High, F is for Family, Toy Story, Mulan, Ice Age: The Meltdown, and Despicable Me 2. 

12. Edie McClurg 

Edie voiced Mrs. Orso in Bobby’s world cast. Mrs. Orso is Jackie and Bobby’s teacher at Little Red Preschool.  

Moreover, Edie is a 76 years old American actress and comedienne. She has voiced several animations, including Wreck-It Ralph, A Bug’s Life, The Little Mermaid, Snorks, Life with Louie, and Clifford the Big Red Dog, among other films and animations. 

13. Pat Fraley 

Pat voiced Meeker in Bobby’s world cast. Meeker is part of a bumbling duo who does several odd jobs around town, ranging from mall cops to paramedics to stagehands.

Besides, Pat is a 72 years old American voice actor and teacher. 

 In addition, he is best known for voicing various characters in 1987’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Garfield Gets Real, Puss in Boots, Monsters Inc. Tangled, The Ant Bully, Toy Story 2, Aladdin, and Alvin and the Chipmunks, among others.  

14. Jeff Doucette 

Jeff voiced Snurd in Bobby’s world cast. Snead is the other part of Meeker’s duo that is seen around town doing various jobs.  

Moreover, Jeff is a 73 years old American actor. He is known for his Entourage, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Weird Science, Cold Case, Unhappily Ever After, The Son of Bigfoot, and Dr. Dolittle.  

However, Jeff Doucette only voiced Snurd from 1990-1991. Rob Paulsen said Snurd from 1991-1998. Additionally, Rob is 65 years old American actor and singer.  

He is best known for voicing characters in 1987 and 2012’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Animaniacs, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and Barnyard. 

15. Gary Owens 

Gary voiced Captain Squash in Bobby’s world cast. Captain Squash is a superhero in Bobby’s imaginations.

Besides, he is Bobby’s favorite superhero who comes to Bobby’s aid in his imaginations.  

In addition, Gary was an 80 years old American actor, radio announcer & personality, and a Disc Jockey (DJ).  

He died on February 12, 2015. Some of the animations he featured in are Space Ghost, Garfield and Friends, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Sesame Street, 2 Stupid Dogs, and Raw Tonnage.
