What type of anime make up the list of anime like Goblin Slayer?

One of the most successful anime of the Fall 2018 season was Goblin Slayer, which attracted viewers with its attractive characters, dark fantasy storylines, and intense action sequences.

The protagonist of this anime is an armored warrior known only as “Goblin Slayer,” whose mission is to wipe out every last goblin on the planet.

This page will list some of my favorite anime like Goblin Slayer.

1.Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash is a fantastic anime like Goblin Slayer. The anime series Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is full of suspenseful story twists and fantastical adventures.

Our hero, Haruhiro, is swallowed up in the ashes and gloom. He has yet to learn of his past or present location.

Besides their identities, he and the others accompanying him had no recollection of the event.

Haruhiro creates a group with some of the individuals he meets and trains harder to become an adventurer, much like in an adventure game or anime.

Something far more extensive and strange awaits him when he enters the land of Grimgar.

This anime is identical to Goblin Slayer in terms of adventure, fantasy, and the setting of a guild, with the exception of the isekai aspect. An excellent piece of timekeeping.

2. Sword Art Online

Next comes the progenitor of all isekai, the most famous of them all, maybe the most famous of all time, the Sekai!

The story of Sword Art Online, an anime like Goblin Slayer, unfolds inside an online role-playing game and is an isekai of fantasy and adventure set in an open universe.

The protagonist, Kirito, is stuck in Sword Art Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) full of swords, firearms, monsters, and guilds.

The anime is like Goblin Slayer, which takes place in a fantasy environment where the protagonist kills enemies to advance in level, get experience, and purchase new equipment.

You should check out Sword Art Online. The more you go into the anime, the better it becomes.

3. Record of the Gancrest War

Complex political and social structures, including factions, conflicts, responsibility allocation, dukes and duchesses, etc., make Gancrest Senki an involved anime.

The anime takes place in a fantastical realm populated by monstrosities and the devil himself.

The show’s heroine, Siluca Meletes, is a mage from the Alliance Faction on the road and is saved by the protagonist, Theo.

Theo is a mighty warrior who holds the Crest, a symbol with the ability to eradicate the beasts of Chaos from the planet.

The anime has a fantastic fantasy atmosphere, offers a great deal of escape, and displays excellent creativity in its depiction of people, monsters, and other elements.

When comparing Gancrest Senki to Goblin Slayer, it’s easy to see the similarities between the two stories’ ideas, world-building, characters, and abilities.

4. Seraph of the End

The premise of this anime is one of the most exhilarating I’ve ever seen, and the cast is top-notch.

Owari no Seraph and Goblin Slayer are fantasy adventures with a dash of mystery and suspense, so it’s easy to see how the two may be mistaken for one another.

So it is no surprise that Seraph of the End is considered the best anime like Goblin Slayer one could ever watch.

After a mystery sickness wipes off every adult in Owari no Seraph’s universe, vampires emerge from the shadows to seize power and abduct the few children left behind.

Yuuchirou, our protagonist, is one of the few people who managed to escape. As with Goblin Slayer, after seeing the horrors that vampires inflicted upon his friends, family, and fellow humans, his sole objective is the annihilation of all vampires.

All fans of fantasy adventures should see the anime because of its striking resemblance to Goblin Slayer.

5. Akame Ga Kill!

So, what do you think of a story that combines political drama with fantastic elements?

If you want to test me, go ahead. In the fantastical world of Akame ga Kill!, politics, corruption, and assassinations are the norm, and commoners subsist on dust.

Amid this upheaval, a revolutionary army forms, and inside it is a network of professional killers known as the Night Raid.

They are working toward removing the Prime Minister from office who is exploiting the emperor’s young son.

In some ways, the anime is like Goblin Slayer, another action-adventure fantasy series featuring fantastic weapons and spells. You should check it out.

6. The Legend of the Legendary Heroes

I can’t possibly take this anime like Goblin Slayer seriously with a title as cheesy as this one.

A better name, even a slightly better one, might have been chosen. The moral of the story is: don’t judge a book by its cover. The animation is quite engaging.

After a few episodes of establishing the premise and introducing the characters, the storyline and action pick up speed.

The protagonist of the story, Lute Ryner, is a mage adventurer with an Alpha Stigma—a strange and powerful eye that can detect and study the magic of any kind.

If you like Goblin Slayer and find its narrative intriguing and exhilarating, you will likely enjoy Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu.

7. Claymore

This anime is for you if you like action-packed stories that center on a dynamic team.

In the fictional realm of Claymore, creatures known as “youma” threaten settlements.

Raki, a young man with dark hair, resided in a community raided by a young. After Raki watches his loved ones perish, he is rescued by Clare, a Claymore who is being trained to kill all your.

The two become fast friends, and Raki follows Clare about as her chef while she saves lives, kills you, and goes on other exciting adventures.

The anime’s central character, Clare, drives a compelling and mysterious plot. This anime reminds me a lot of Youma Slayer, which is to say, it’s a lot like Goblin Slayer.

8. Nanatsu no Taizai

An extremely well-known fantasy anime is Seven Deadly Sins. The story occurs in a fantastical realm populated by talking pigs, kings, and other mythical beings.

The “Seven Deadly Sins” are a band of seasoned knights and great warriors whose narrative of fighting the Holy Knights and overthrowing the king serves as the basis for the anime.

Nanatsu no Taizai is an anime like Goblin Slayer in that it has fantastical beings like fairies, giants, etc., as well as loads of action, incredible abilities, and magical artifacts and weapons.

In the realm of adventure fantasy, its fame has already spread far and wide.

9. Drifters

Some well-known individuals from Japanese history, such as monarchs and knights, coexist alongside magical creatures and monsters in the universe of Drifters, a famous anime.

At the outset of the anime, we see Toyohisa Shimazu leading the rearguard of his retreating forces during a conflict.

The badly injured rearguard finds themselves in a gleaming, ultra-modern corridor with dozens of entrances.

In the anime, Toyohisa travels across ancient Japan with magical beasts. Like the manga, the anime has a fantastical setting and elements of surprise and delight.

10. Log Horizon

Another anime like Goblin Slayer, excluding the isekai genre. A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (isekai) called Log Horizon has a fantastical universe populated by fantastical beings.

Several players get caught in Elder Tale, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game filled with monsters, magicians, devils, knights, etc.

The main character, Shiroe, is one of these gamers who finds himself stuck in Elder Tale, but he uses his gaming and adventure fiction expertise to get out and discover what lies beyond the game’s borders.

The anime is similar to Goblin Slayer, focusing on chivalry, magic, and a mysterious overall plot, except for the Isekai aspect.

11. Overlord

This Isekai, an anime like Goblin Slayer, also takes place in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

Still, this time the protagonist is the head of a sinister guild rather than a greenhorn adventurer who must hone his craft.

In his last moments, the evil guild leader of Yggdrasil, Momonga, the great lord of Ainz, discovers that the game has shut down, yet everything continues to exist.

This amazes him, so he instructs his henchmen to conquer and subjugate the planet, earning him the moniker “Overlord.”

The exciting tale and mystery storyline are reminiscent of an anime, yet the characters and protagonist are distinct.

12. That Time I got reincarnated as a Slime

It pains me to say this, but this is not the last Isekai on this list. Precisely what should I do? For better or worse, Goblin Slayer was the driving force for my entry into the Iskeai tarin.

The extraordinary quality of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta ken cannot be overstated. Satoru, a 37-year-old virgin, is stabbed to death on the sidewalk by a fleeing bandit.

After his death, he is reborn as a slime in a world teeming with fantastical beings of all kinds: demons, trolls, dwarves, dragons, wolves, goblins, ogres, and the list goes on.

Goblin Slayer’s world parallels the world of Slime, including the presence of lizardmen. Goblin Slayer fans will also appreciate That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

13. Re: ZERO

Re: ZERO has a lot going for it, including engaging characters, a compelling story, and exciting romantic and adventure elements.

Subaru, named after the automobile, is the protagonist, and he is reborn in a universe where, if he is ever slain, he may rewind time and prevent his death.

In the event of his death, he would return to a time and place where he had never been before, complete with a crystal clear recollection of his demise.

Compared to the other anime on this list, this one is not comparable to Goblin Slayer, but it has a similar atmosphere.

If you like Goblin Slayer, I bet you will enjoy this anime. It is an excellent addition to the list of anime like Goblin Slayer.

14. D.Gray-Man

D.Gray-man is a great manga set a thousand years ago in a world where humankind was given godlike abilities and battled for peace and justice.

To defeat the demonic darkness known as “Akuma,” which means “The Devil,” the Earl enlisted the help of these talented individuals.

The Earl’s plans were thwarted by the Black Order, a group of knights who could have access to the pure power necessary to vanquish Akuma.

The manga has outstanding graphics, a compelling story, and well-rounded characters.

While I find world-building tedious, it is a popular pastime among adventure fantasy readers.

15. Ancient Magus Bride

I couldn’t help but think of “Beauty and the Beast” when watching this anime like Goblin Slayer. It’s not a direct copy, but the idea came from the same place.

The story centers on an unknown lady who has always felt different from other people because of her capacity to perceive supernatural beings.

The trauma of having been abandoned by her parents drove her to sell herself at a slave auction.

Elias Ainsworth, who may have been a beast or a man, rescues her and adopts her as an apprentice instead of an enslaved person since he can relate to her condition as an outsider.

There are some similarities to Goblin Slayer, such as the supernatural environment and the adventure and shounen vibes included in the story, but there are also significant differences.

16. Berserk

Stay away from this gory anime like Goblin Slayer if the sight of gore, corpses, blood, and mutilated body parts grosses you out.

Born from his mother’s stomach contents, Guts is a kid who knows only one thing: turning Berserk! Guts have only known violence; he has killed his whole life.

Soon after meeting the White Hawk, the faction’s commander, Guts, joins the group. Following this, he embarks on an expedition with the group, where he comes to many profound insights.

The anime’s principal characters go through similar development arcs, not identical but relatively close.

17. Made in Abyss

A fantastic anime like Goblin Slayer, Made in Abyss is a story about a vast, gaping abyss that reaches the depths of the globe and piques your curiosity the higher you climb.

Many people have attempted to peer into the abyss, to plunge so far down into the chasm that they could never possibly make it back up again.

The finest diving species are the Divers, and one subgroup is known as White Whistles.

One such White Whistle, Riko, believes she wants to be courageous and adventurous like her mother, Lyza, a lost White Whistle.

There are several striking parallels, but the anime also stands independently. This program would appeal to all who liked Goblin Slayer.

18. Demon Slayer

We shouldn’t even have to explain what this anime like Goblin Slayer is.

With the recent success of the film adaptation of Mugen Train, the series has quickly risen to become one of the all-time most popular contemporary anime.

Throughout the universe of Kimetsu no Yaiba, demons are a constant threat, necessitating the existence of the Demon Slayer Corps to eradicate them once and for all.

Demon Slayers are a powerful group of highly trained warriors whose stated mission is to, you guessed it, slay demons.

This anime has a great sense of humor, an intriguing main narrative, and a fun and engaging atmosphere, all of which make for a delightful viewing experience.

There are many parallels between these two anime, but even if you don’t find any, I still believe you’ll love watching Demon Slayer! Don’t say you haven’t been warned! Now is the time to view it.
